Fisheries

Commercial deep-water fishing is an expanding industry with great potentials.  Major catch including sole, lobster, crayfish, shrimp, tuna, salmon, and crabs are good export. To establish a business in the fishery industry, potential entrepreneur/investors must:

  • Obtain registration of domestic water craft from the Bureau of Maritime Affairs Obtain a license from the Ministry of Agriculture and registration with the Ministry of Commence and Industry
  • Articles of Incorporation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Inspection fees ( to be determined by the bureau )
  • Classification of vessel
  • Certificate of inspection issued after the above requirements have been met.
