The Government of Liberia recognizes that improving the capacity of its ports is critical to ensuring that businesses can easily ship and receive goods. APM Terminals has therefore been contracted to rehabilitate and manage the Port of Monrovia, Liberia's largest seaport, at a value of USD 100 million. The country has also established a one-stop-shop at the Freeport of Monrovia to streamline the customs processes and is operating an automated system of customs data ("ASYCUDA") to fully automate processes and reduce customs clearance procedures.
